Send quote
Send quote emails a link to this quote. The quote status stays as it is. Acknowledged (acknowledged) is a separate choice, for when the prospect has acknowledged that email.
Process flow
Quote to cash, in catalog order.
- Lead — Raw prospect, joined to an account for qualification into an opportunity.
- Opportunity — Qualified deal linked to an account and a contact, progressing toward quote conversion or a recorded loss.
- Quote — Prospect quotation (QU-) joined to an account and a customer group, convertible to an order once won.
- Order — Confirmed customer sales order (SO-), driving shipping and invoicing.
- Bill Of Landing — Carriage contract (BOL-) through transit.
- Invoice — Customer receivable (INV-), posted against a customer account.
- Bank Payment Match — Link (BPM-) pairing a bank transaction with invoices or bills.
- Reconciliation — Matching record (RC-) pairing ledger entries to bank transactions.
Before you start
- The quote is on Quotes.
- The quote has a contact. The send reads that contact’s email, and the email on any additional contact lines.
How to
Go to Sales → Sales Pipeline → Quotes. Route: sales/sales.quotes-table-with-pivoting.
- On the quote row, under Options, choose Send email. There is no form.
- That runs Send email with quote link (
sales/sales.send-email-with-quote-link). The job sends the quote link to the contact.
You should see Emails sent show the total number of emails sent with this quote, and Quote last emailed show when it went. Email status tracks whether this quote has been sent to the associated account. Status on the quote does not change from this button. Open (open) means the quote is ready to send. Choose Acknowledge on Quotes only after the prospect has acknowledged the email. That sets Acknowledged (acknowledged) from Open (open) or Rejected (rejected).
Check
On the same row, Emails sent is the total sent with this quote, and Quote last emailed is filled. Status is unchanged.
