Quotes

Quotes is the list of prospect quotations (QU-). You use it to read each quote and to set a status. Jobs that open a form, send the quote, or create another record have their own pages.

Process flow

Quote to cash, in catalog order.

  1. Lead — Raw prospect, joined to an account for qualification into an opportunity.
  2. Opportunity — Qualified deal linked to an account and a contact, progressing toward quote conversion or a recorded loss.
  3. Quote — Prospect quotation (QU-) joined to an account and a customer group, convertible to an order once won.
  4. Order — Confirmed customer sales order (SO-), driving shipping and invoicing.
  5. Bill Of Landing — Carriage contract (BOL-) through transit.
  6. Invoice — Customer receivable (INV-), posted against a customer account.
  7. Bank Payment Match — Link (BPM-) pairing a bank transaction with invoices or bills.
  8. Reconciliation — Matching record (RC-) pairing ledger entries to bank transactions.

How to

Go to Sales → Sales Pipeline → Quotes. The menu label is quotes. Route: sales/sales.quotes-table-with-pivoting.

The header button create sales account opens Create quote. On a row, Update, Send email, Create sales order, and Create opportunity sit under Options. Those four are their own pages.

  1. Open the row menu. Information holds View quote activity (sales/sales.view-quote-activity). You are still looking at this quote.
  2. Under Status change, choose one status. None of these open a form.

  1. Under Options, Duplicate is one click. It has no form and no flow. Delete runs Delete quote (sales/sales.delete-quote). reactivate runs Reactivate quote (sales/sales.reactivate-quote) and sets Open (open) from Rejected (rejected).

You should see Status on the row match the value that choice writes. The quote number starts with QU-. Expired (expired) is not a choice. The quote expires when it passes the due date. Won (won) means the prospect is now a customer, and other quotes that share the opportunity are Lost (lost).

Check

The row menu shows Information, Status change, and Options. After a status choice, Status shows the value that choice sets.
