Update an order

Correct customer details or order lines before fulfillment begins. Orders are editable in Draft, Open, or Acknowledged; the update operation checks those states before saving.

  1. Open Sales → Sales Pipeline → Orders. Match the SO- number, then choose Update on its row.
  2. In Order Basics, change the relevant account, contact, blanket agreement, items, quantities, warehouse, shipping start date, or purchase-order reference. Check product variant, packaging, and unit together when changing a line.
  3. Recheck Shipping & Billing if the customer, destination, or shipment arrangement changed. Verify the address details as well as the associated address selection.
  4. Review the source quote, salesperson, and channel in Lead information, and payment terms and discount rows in Financials. Update notes and attachments as needed.
  5. Review recalculated prices, tax, shipping, weight, and totals, then choose Update order.
  6. Reopen View order details on the same SO- number. Compare the changed lines, customer context, addresses, and totals with the intended correction.

Saving runs order calculation and validation again. A change in quantity, product, or customer context can affect the calculated offer, so check totals before committing.

If Update is absent or saving says the order is no longer editable, check its current status. An In Process order has already reached fulfillment; this task does not provide a reversal of confirmation.

Read the order explanation for the meaning of the values, or continue with confirming the order when its details are ready.
