Send an order
Send the customer an email containing a link to the saved order. This uses the contact's email on file and can also notify contacts listed under Additional Accounts & Contacts.
Check before sending
Open Sales → Sales Pipeline → Orders. Check the order number, customer, contact, and current content using View order details. The Send email action is shown when the order is Open, Acknowledged, In Process, Completed, or Rejected.
If the order is Draft, review its details first, then choose Mark as open on its row. Check Open before looking for Send email.
The main contact must be linked to the record and have the intended email address. Check additional contact rows too: sending can include their saved contact email addresses. If its recipients or content are wrong, correct them before sending. Update an order is available for Draft, Open, or Acknowledged orders. If the record is outside those editable states, review the workflow and resolve the needed correction before sending.
Send and verify
- On the intended row, choose Send email.
- Read the confirmation. It states that a link to this order will be sent to the recipient's email on file.
- Choose Send email in the confirmation when the recipients and document are correct.
- Check the record's email status, last email sent date, and number of emails sent. After a successful send, the status is Sent, the sent date is updated, and the send count increases by one for the action.
These indicators record sending; Sent does not establish that the customer has opened or accepted the order. Check the record explanation when interpreting its business status.
If the action reports a missing recipient or contact, check the main contact on the order and its account relationship, correct it, then review the recipients again. If email service or link configuration fails, have your workspace administrator check that configuration before retrying.
