Blanket Sales Orders
Cancel leaves the agreement unchanged when a sales order has already drawn from it, or when quantity has already been released.
Pending Approval (pending-approval) is the default status. The agreement is waiting for approval. You choose Create Blanket Order, and it is stored, numbered BLSO-, against the account and its main contact. The negotiated price is held for later releases.
Pending Approval (pending-approval). The agreement is waiting for approval. You choose Approve, and it becomes Active (active). It is approved and in effect, so releases are allowed. This does not record you as the approver.
Active (active). Releases are allowed. You choose Suspend, and it becomes On Hold (on-hold). No new releases.
On Hold (on-hold). No new releases. You choose reactivate, and it becomes Active (active). Releases are allowed again.
Pending Approval (pending-approval), Active (active), or On Hold (on-hold). You choose Cancel. It becomes Cancelled (cancelled) when nothing has been released and no sales order has drawn from it. The agreement was voided before it was fully released. When quantity has already been released, or a sales order has already drawn from it, the agreement stays as it is. Cancel those sales orders first.
Active (active). Every line has nothing remaining, and a sales order has drawn from it. The agreement becomes Fulfilled (fulfilled). Nothing remains on its lines.
Fulfilled (fulfilled). Quantity is still remaining. The agreement returns to Active (active). Releases are allowed again.
Nothing on this screen sets Draft (draft) or Expired (expired).
How it moves
- Create Blanket Sales Order — Create Blanket Order stores the agreement as Pending Approval (
pending-approval), numbered BLSO-, against the account and its main contact - Update Blanket Sales Order — Update saves the agreement and recalculates its lines and totals. Saving replaces the agreement
- Approve Blanket Sales Order — Approve moves it from Pending Approval (
pending-approval) to Active (active), so releases are allowed
Open Sales → Sales Pipeline → Blanket Sales Orders.
On this screen
The row groups are information, Status change, and Options. information holds Details. Status change holds Approve, reactivate, Suspend, and Cancel. Options holds Update and Delete.
Details opens the agreement, including the items on it and the sales orders linked to it. Delete removes the agreement. Cancel leaves it unchanged when quantity has already been released, or when a sales order has already drawn from it.
